We were pleased to be exhibiting once again at Interplas and were definitely not disappointed.
The show exceeded all expectations with good footfall, serious enquiries, good organization and an excellent end result.
The show looked especially stylish this year with excellent exhibitor stands and plenty of visitors to enjoy the atmosphere.
It was good to meet existing customers and make new contacts and have a chance to catch up with companies changing needs and requirements.
With plastics now becoming so diverse it was interesting to discuss the new products being brought to market and the recycling needs surrounding these.
We showcased an Inan Plastik 500 pulveriser, Crushmaster A250-3 beside the press granulator and a Rapid 2024 granulator, all of which received plenty of interest.
Since recently becoming the UK agents for Taiho Optical Colour Sorter machinery it was perfect timing to introduce the company and their products.
Plast Eurasia 2015
Plast Eurasia is Inan Plastik’s home show so it is an immensely important exhibition with a large stand enabling additional products and equipment not generally shown on the usual exhibition circuit to be showcased. It is always a ‘special and personal’ exhibition with many existing customer’s new and old visiting and enjoying a ‘catch up’ and the opportunity to view the latest equipment. With generous entertainment areas and exceptional fresh tasty snacks available it offers a delightful way to relax and talk business. With Inan Plastik’s own sales executives on hand and Birmingham Granulators directors available, it gives every opportunity to meet new clients and discuss first hand their requirements with the opportunity for them to inspect the machinery. With the added convenience of the new factory in the locality (now completed as pics below) visitors also have the opportunity to visit and watch the manufacture process and view the finished product. With the success of Interplas last year opening up the UK market together with the first exhibit at Orlando, USA it is an ideal venue to visit and gain a good all round perspective of the company and products.
The stand was updated last year to include an additional meeting room with improved layout which was highly successful and extremely convenient. This year there was an additional stand dedicated to the thermoforming line which was demonstrated at intervals throughout the day giving visitors the opportunity to view the whole operation from start to finish which proved extremely popular last year with three lines sold from stand. This provides additional space on the existing stand to exhibit a good cross section of machinery.

Inan Plastik have been manufacturing granulators in Istanbul for over 25 years and have subsequently added shredders, pulverisers, extruders and complete wash/recycling lines to their range.
Although well know on the exhibition circuit throughout Europe and Asia, this is the first time Inan have exhibited at Interplas and are displaying their 45/80 granulator and 500 Pulveriser. As recently reported in the EPPM the demand for Turkish machinery is rapidly increasing in the global market and interest is steadily growing in the UK due to competitive prices, quality and attractive leadtimes.
We represent Inan Plastik in the UK and Ireland and were pleased to have this opportunity to display their machinery to the UK market and enable visitors to see firsthand the quality and range on offer and be able to discuss any additional requirements.
We were extremely pleased with the amount of interest shown and the subsequent enquiries as a result.
The machinery has now been installed in our Tamworth factory for product trial and demonstration purposes.
And the hamper was won by Dean Ward of Premier Sharpening Ltd
Well done Dean and our thanks to Rose Brooke, editor of EPPM for carrying out the draw
Recycling Line installed into British Gas plc (Centrica)
Birmingham Granulators have recently completed an installation recycling line for British Gas in their National Distribution Centre at Leicester.
We were delighted to have this opportunity to install a complete line at British Gas for the recycling of pp, hd and abs which was exciting as it was the first system to be introduced since they decided to process their material and enter into the granulation area of recycling.
After carrying out initial trials on various machines it was decided to install a 600mm wide granulator, single shaft shredder with two conveyors linking the machines.
Although initially it was challenging adapting the area to suit the layout of the machines and enable ease of access and a streamlined operation once this had been achieved British Gas were delighted with the results and are now considering expanding this area of processing.
Birmingham Granulators Supply Worcester Bosch
in New Recycling Project 2011
Birmingham Granulators was delighted to be invited by Worcester Bosch, the market leader in domestic heating and hot water systems, to install a recycling system into their premises at Warndon, Worcester.
They were introducing a new environmentally friendly way for disposal of their redundant boilers by granulating the plastic components.
This was an exciting project as it was the first recycling system to be used in this way as previously the traded-in boilers were scrapped.
After extensive workshop trials Birmingham Granulators supplied a twin shaft shredder, conveyor with metal detector and final granulation system.
The end product of mixed plastics is currently used in the manufacture of building blocks for the housing industry.
Michelle Ball, Project Leader and Bob Starkey, Team Leader of Worcester Bosch said “This was new ground for us and we were not entirely sure what machinery would be required to achieve the end result but Birmingham Granulators guided us through the process in a very professional and friendly manner and we are delighted with the whole project”.
